Neudoerfler is taking over the brand name and product range of reputable German office furniture manufacturer planmöbel. Neudoerfler is thus securing the continued existence of this strong brand and expanding its position on the German market.
From March 2014, Neudoerfler Office Systems is taking over the brand name and product ranges of planmöbel while tying in with a partnership from the past.
“planmöbel has been a very well-established and reputable brand for decades that is represented throughout Germany and is a good fit with Neudoerfler. With its great products, planmöbel will contribute to the growth and revenues of Neudoerfler in Germany,” explains Neudoerfler Managing Director Helmut Sattler.
“We are pursuing a two-brand strategy in Germany. We want to further expand our existing customer and retailer relationships in a focussed manner with planmöbel, while also boosting our Neudoerfler retailer relationships. With an ideally attuned sales department, we guarantee all retailers and customers will continue to experience excellent advice and assistance in ongoing and upcoming projects,” says Sattler.
Neudoerfler has been successful for over 65 years as a comprehensive advisor and provider of office spaces in which, besides furniture, ergonomics and spatial planning, lighting and acoustics also play a major role. In contrast, planmöbel specialises in special constructions and customised solutions. In this way, both brands cater to different target groups and complement each other well.
“planmöbel has an excellent reputation, particularly among German architects, and is perceived as a highly renowned design brand on the office furniture market. We will use synergies and keep the existing quality high,” explains Sattler. By taking over planmöbel, the production site in Neudörfl is being given a huge boost as the products for the planmöbel brand will be produced in Nordburgenland in future.
With the take-over, Neudoerfler is aiming to successfully continue the brand, expand the continued partnership with retailers and architects, and achieve organic growth with planmöbel. “The continuation of this established brand opens up new opportunities for Neudoerfler for further successful development,” says Sattler with delight.
The most well-known current planmöbel clients include Zalando (Berlin), adidas (Herzogenaurach), Augusta-Bank (Augsburg), MTV (Berlin), Fraunhofer Forum (Berlin), VGH Versicherungen Hannover, and Landessparkasse zu Oldenburg.
In 2013, Neudoerfler was presented with the renowned Red Dot Award for best product design for the Dreyfuss conference table and named the most popular company in the Burgenland state with the Austria’s Leading Companies Award.
Neudoerfler projects currently being realised include projects for the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Manner, Hutchison, A1 Telekom, Siemens, Neuroth, Lego, and Merck Pharma.
Neudoerfler Office Systems GmbH is the clear number two on the Austrian office furniture market, stands for comprehensive advice and the development and implementation of customised office concepts, and offers more performance with ‘simply more office’. Functional, design-oriented office solutions, ergonomic electric lifting tables and high-quality management programmes are produced at its head office in Neudörfl/Leitha in Burgenland. With a focus on expert advice and product quality, Neudoerfler Office Systems achieved annual turnover of over 39 million euros in 2012 (14% market share) with 250 members of staff. Besides eight Living Office sites in Austria, the company, which was founded in 1946, is also represented with its own subsidiaries in Hungary and Slovakia, as well as via distribution partners in Germany, Italy, Slovenia and, since 2013, in Switzerland.
The holding company Austro Holding owns the company under the management of Dr. Erhard F. Grossnigg.
